Five (5) years of project management experience. Experience managing multiple, complex projects is preferred.

What You Will Be Doing:
The Operations Manager, Finance and IT provides strategic oversight and coordination of Information Technology initiatives and other key projects across the organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Officer, this position serves as a central point of coordination among City departments, leadership, stakeholders, and external vendors to move projects from initial concept through successful completion. The Operations Manager independently oversees a diverse portfolio of projects, balancing larger, complex technology initiatives with recurring and annual operational priorities. This includes defining project requirements and scope, developing work plans and cost estimates, managing vendor relationships and contracts, monitoring budgets and timelines, tracking progress, and coordinating project closeout. Success in this role requires exceptional organization, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate needs, resolve challenges, and keep multiple priorities moving forward simultaneously. A key component of this position is proactive and effective communication. The Operations Manager ensures stakeholders remain informed throughout the project lifecycle by maintaining accurate documentation, providing timely project updates, facilitating cross-functional coordination, and delivering clear and professional reports and presentations. Through strong project management and relationship building, this position helps ensure organizational initiatives are completed on time, within scope and budget, and in alignment with the City's strategic priorities. Work requires broad knowledge in a general professional or technical field. Knowledge is normally acquired through four (4) years of college, resulting in a Bachelor's degree or equivalent.Five (5) years of project management experience. Experience managing multiple, complex projects is preferred.
