Introduction Bigge Crane and Rigging has been elevating America since 1916 . With over 1,800 cranes and a coast-to-coast presence, we buy, sell, rent, operate, and maintain one of the largest, most advanced crane fleets in the country. We've played a role in building some of America's most iconic landmarks and earned a reputation for doing it right—with performance, precision, and accountability The Branch Operations Manager will report directly to the Director of Regional Operations and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the local service center. This role will provide leadership and direction for rental, parts, service, transportation, and support personnel while ensuring operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. Additionally, this position will play a key role in influencing the P&L for the local service center by managing costs, driving revenue opportunities, and optimizing resource allocation.
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage branch operations, ensuring alignment with company policies, goals, and profitability targets. Monitor, measure, and report on operational performance, identifying areas for improvement and executing strategic initiatives. Directly manage and develop staff, fostering a high-performing team culture built on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. Oversee departmental resources, ensuring proper equipment maintenance, workforce training, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations. Provide leadership in resolving contract issues, claims, and customer concerns while protecting the company's financial and commercial interests. Collaborate with other department managers to streamline processes from job quotation through execution and closeout. Maintain compliance with corporate standards related to quality assurance, health and safety, risk management, and legal requirements. Drive financial performance by analyzing operational expenses, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and supporting revenue growth strategies.
Qualifications:
Extensive working knowledge of the mobile crane industry, including crawler cranes, rough terrain cranes, and all-terrain cranes. 2 to 4 years of management experience within an equipment rental operation, dealership, or related industry. Proven ability to influence P&L performance by managing costs, optimizing processes, and identifying revenue opportunities. Strong leadership skills with experience managing rental operations and overseeing multiple projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and experience with operational management software. Working knowledge of heavy lifting and heavy hauling equipment Basic understanding of QA requirements and ability to guide efficient execution of QA programs. Knowledge of health and safety programs and regulatory compliance requirements. A self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
