Job Description

Job Title:
Director of Operations, Registered Professional Land Surveyor (Licensed in TEXAS)
Summary/Objective:
The Director of Operations, RPLS, will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the department, providing strategic direction, and ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standard.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide leadership and strategic direction for the survey and mapping team. Manage the department's budget and resources. Oversee the design and execution of survey and mapping projects. Participate in planning and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency. Establish work plans and staffing requirements for multiple projects. Participate in business development opportunities and maintain strong client relationships. Develop and conduct presentations to clients and other critical stakeholders. Effectively interface with sub-consultants and as well as other business relationships. Provide support to other operational units as needed. Represent company interests while in meetings and trade shows as needed.
Qualifications:
B.S. Surveying or related field preferred. Registered Professional Land Surveyor (Licensed in TEXAS) Demonstrated experience in project/phase management. Strong proficiency with or understanding of tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, ORD Open Roads, MS Office Suite. Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members. Ability to oversee, mentor, and motivate a team.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Regularly engage in sitting, standing, or walking activities. Occasionally handle lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling items of varying weights. Perform reaching, kneeling, crouching, bending, or twisting motions as needed. Other physical requirements may arise depending on job tasks. Work may be conducted at a desk or workstation situated in confined areas. Experience moderate levels of noise indoors and outdoors. Flexibility to work overtime and occasional weekends as required. Ability to thrive in both team-oriented settings and independently, demonstrating self-motivation and initiative.
Safety Responsibility:
Adhere to all company and regulatory safety standards and procedures. Identify potential safety hazards and take appropriate corrective actions. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions in a timely manner. Participate in safety training and promote a culture of workplace safety.

Some travel may be required.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$120,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
