Full Job Description Overview:
The Lift Operations & Admin Supervisor supports the Lift Operations Manager in leading the lift operations team across all lifts. They oversee daily operations on the hill, provide guidance and coaching to lift leads and operators, and help ensure that safety, efficiency, and guest service standards are met. In addition to on-hill leadership, the Supervisor assists with scheduling, payroll, and other administrative tasks. This position works primarily night shifts, with some day shifts , and plays an active role in both operational and behind-the-scenes aspects of the department. As the Lift Operations Supervisor, you will contribute to Brighton's LEADS values by: Prioritize Safety by: Ensuring all lifts are operated according to resort and industry safety standards Monitoring compliance with operating procedures and addressing unsafe behavior immediately Supporting lift leads and operators in maintaining a safe work environment for staff and guests Serve First by: Supporting lift operators and leads during daily operations to ensure they can perform at their best Providing guidance, resources, and clear direction to help the team meet resort and industry standards Addressing operational challenges promptly so the team can focus on serving guests Show that Attitude is Everything by: Demonstrating a positive, professional presence both on the hill and in the base area Promoting teamwork and respectful communication across the department Helping to resolve conflicts and keep morale high Deliver Excellence in Execution by: Overseeing smooth daily operations for all lifts during assigned shifts Supporting scheduling, payroll, training, and hiring processes as needed Taking ownership of assigned projects and ensuring they are completed on time and to standard Think Long Term by: Assisting with planning for seasonal operations and improvements Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and guest experience Contributing feedback and ideas to help strengthen the department over time Develop Great People by: Leading and conducting training for lift leads and operators Providing regular coaching, feedback, and recognition to staff Supporting the growth of potential future leaders in lift operationsQualifications:
This position may be for you if you: Are 18 years of age or older. Hold a relevant college degree or have 3+ years of leadership experience in a related field. Are very comfortable navigating computers and have strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office; able to learn and implament new systems and software. Understand the basics of leadership, supervision, and training. Communicate clearly with staff, peers, and leaders. Can work a flexible schedule that includes night & day shifts, weekends, and holidays. Can lift 35 lbs and push or pull 50 lbs unassisted. Are comfortable working outdoors in all weather for long periods, including work at heights. Can ski or snowboard safely at an intermediate or above level. Stay attentive, follow procedures, and address hazards immediately. Have a growth mindset and willingness to learn. Can reliably get to and from the resort in variable conditions.Preferred:
Previous lift operations experience. Knowledge ofANSI B77-1.
Experience coaching teams and holding staff accountable. Carpentry or forestry knowledge.Benefits
