Specifically, this individual will focus on SBA loan servicing, portfolio compliance, and
SBA 1502
reporting to reconcile loan data discrepancies, and implement regulatory updates. Their additional responsibilities will include conduct loan file reviews, overseeing the documentation flow for SBA submission, maintaining compliance documentation, and ensuring proper record-keeping for audits and regulatory reviews.
Responsibilities Loan Servicing & Portfolio Management:
Manage the servicing of SBA loan portfolios, ensuring compliance with SBA SOPs and lender policies. Oversee borrower requests, modifications, and servicing actions, including deferments, assumptions, and collateral changes. Ensure timely and accurate loan payments, escrow management, and other servicing tasks.
Liquidation & Collection:
Oversee SBA loan liquidation and collection efforts in compliance with SBA guidelines. Work with legal and recovery teams to develop and execute liquidation strategies. Work with Credit Administration to monitor past-due accounts, initiate collection activities, and coordinate charge-offs when necessary. 1502
Reporting & Compliance:
Manage the
SBA 1502
reporting process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting of loan data to the SBA. Reconcile discrepancies in loan reporting and payment processing. Stay updated on SBA regulatory changes and implement necessary operational adjustments.
Loan File Review & Documentation Management:
Review SBA loan files for completeness and compliance before submission to SBA. Ensure proper documentation flow from clients, including financial statements, business records, and compliance documents. Maintain accurate and organized loan files for audits and reviews. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant experience. At least 7 years of commercial lending or banking operations experience, including a minimum of 5 years of direct SBA 7(a) and/or 504 lending experience. At least 3 years of demonstrated people-management experience, including responsibility for training, workflow management, performance feedback, and employee development. Working knowledge of SBA eligibility, loan documentation, closing, servicing, 1502 reporting, portfolio management, collections, liquidation, guaranty preservation, and applicable SBA Standard Operating Procedures. Demonstrated ability to establish procedures and controls, lead operational change, prepare for audits or loan reviews, and resolve complex documentation or compliance issues. Strong organizational time management skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly grasp concepts and processes with limited guidance from management. Reporting Structure :
This role will report directly to the Managing Director of SBA Banking.
Office Requirements :
