Position Summary The Onsite Operations Manager will work directly under senior operations leadership to support and manage assigned lodge operations. This is a hands-on leadership position focused on employee management, member engagement, regulatory compliance, promotions, community involvement, and overall lodge performance. The position will receive direct supervision, coaching, and support from leadership and is intended to develop into a long-term operational leadership role as the organization continues to grow. Key Responsibilities Employee Leadership &Management Recruit, train, coach, schedule, and manage onsite employees. Establish expectations and hold employees accountable for performance and operational standards. Maintain strong communication with employees and senior leadership. Address employee and operational issues professionally with a solution-focused approach. Member Management & Engagement Maintain a strong, visible presence and build relationships with members. Identify strong and consistent members and understand membership habits and participation patterns. Monitor membership traffic and engagement for changes that may affect lodge performance. Gather member feedback and communicate trends, concerns, and opportunities to leadership. Create an environment where employees and members feel comfortable communicating concerns and resolving issues. Regulatory Compliance Maintain compliance with applicable charitable gaming requirements, licensing, reporting, recordkeeping, cash handling, and internal controls. Assist with regulatory inspections, documentation, reporting, and agency communications. Ensure onsite employees understand and follow compliance requirements. Maintain applicable residency/proximity and availability requirements associated with the assigned lodge. Develop knowledge and responsibility related to VDACS, ABC, and other applicable regulatory requirements. Promotions & Daily Operations Execute lodge promotional calendars, special events, and membership initiatives in coordination with leadership. Monitor member response and provide feedback regarding promotional performance. Oversee food and alcohol ordering, inventory, storage, and applicable controls. Maintain standards for customer service, cleanliness, safety, staffing, and overall lodge readiness. Communicate regularly with senior leadership and address operational issues as they arise. Qualifications Strong management, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to effectively manage both employees and member relationships. Approachable, adaptable, dependable, observant, and comfortable working with different personalities. Management or supervisory experience in hospitality, gaming, food and beverage, retail, or a similar operational environment preferred. Ability and willingness to learn charitable gaming, ABC, and other regulatory requirements. Ability to work closely with senior leadership and receive frequent coaching and direction. Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, community events, and special events as needed.
