Description:
CVOEO is hiring a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Site Coordinator in Addison County that oversees the daily operations of a VITA site, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, free tax preparation services to low-to-moderate-income individuals, older adults, persons with disabilities, and individuals with limited English proficiency. Train, support, and supervise volunteers; ensure compliance with
IRS VITA/TCE
program requirements; and promote a welcoming, efficient, and professional environment for clients and volunteers. Support and communicate with volunteers to maintain effective site operations throughout the tax season. Requirements:
Associate's degree in an appropriate discipline plus two years of community service experience, or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired. Accounting and/or income tax preparation experience highly desirable. Sound understanding, interest in and commitment to those living in poverty and the overall needs and problems of the low-income community. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment when handling sensitive client information. Must have a valid license, clean driving record, access to reliable transportation and willingness and ability to travel within the CVOEO service area Ability to uphold safety standards We are an inclusive organization that embraces all people.
