Job Description

This is not a typical hotel front-desk job. At Pension Anna, the innkeeper runs the house. On your shift you are the face of the hotel: you welcome guests and show them to their rooms, prepare and serve our Bavarian breakfast, answer the phone, get rooms ready before arrivals, and handle whatever the day brings. There is no manager on duty with you. You make the calls. What we're looking for You like people. Our best innkeepers knew guests by name, remembered who takes cream in their coffee, and treated the hotel like their own. You are comfortable working alone and making decisions. You pay attention to detail in everything: how the food is presented, how the tables are set, how the room looks when a guest walks in. Our guests notice, and so do we. You are happy to host, serve, tidy up, restock, and fix small things in the same shift. No task is above or below you. Hospitality, restaurant, café, or B&B experience is ideal. We will also train the right person with no experience. A day as our innkeeper Prepare, serve, and clean up breakfast in the breakfast room Welcome guests, check them in, and show them to their rooms Get rooms ready before guests arrive Handle reservations, calls, and emails; give recommendations; solve problems Keep the breakfast room and common areas tidy, restock supplies, and report anything that needs repair Keep the standards that make us the highest-rated hotel in Leavenworth on Google and the #1 boutique hotel on TripAdvisor Why people stay here for years Small, family-run team. Erika often helps on busy breakfast mornings, and we are a phone call away, but we don't stand over your shift. Most of our team has been with us for many years. We are hiring because a long-time innkeeper is moving out of town. Easy guests. Mostly adult leisure travelers, many of them repeat visitors who know the staff by name. Authentically Bavarian, inside and out. Hand-painted and hand-carved Bauernmöbel from Bavaria and Tirol, every room different, a German breakfast, and a 1910 chapel that is now part of the hotel. Family-run since 1989. You run the day. How the shift goes is up to you. Pay and profit share $21/hour with hospitality experience. If we train you from scratch, you start at $19/hour and move up as you take on the full role. Profit share three times a year. It is tied to how the hotel does, so it goes up and down, but in 2025 it added $5.28/hour for our fully tenured innkeepers, or about $26/hour all in before reimbursements. Profit share ramps up with tenure and reaches full qualification after two years. Health insurance with 88% of the premium paid by us (employee coverage), plus dental and vision with 50% paid. 401(k) with company match. $60/month gas and $40/month cell phone reimbursement Schedule Full time, 40 hours a week in three to four long day shifts (10-12 hours), so you get more full days off Weekends and holidays are required. They are our busiest days. Requirements Reliable, punctual, and comfortable being the only staff member on duty Able to be on your feet, carry breakfast supplies, and move between buildings Clean, organized, and attentive to detail in food presentation, table setup, and rooms Authorized to work in the U.S. How to apply Send a résumé and a few sentences about why you want this job. No hotel experience? Tell us what you have done that makes you a good fit. We read every application and reply to everyone.
