Join our team as an After Hours Manager and play a critical leadership role in our Supported Living program serving clients in the Olympia area.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will supervise after-hours staff, respond to client crises, provide on-site support, monitor service quality, and help ensure our clients receive safe, consistent, person-centered care when regular management staff are not available.
Local Residency RequiredBecause this position is responsible for immediate response to client emergencies and crises, the successful candidate must live in Olympia or the surrounding area and be able to respond promptly to client homes throughout our Olympia-area service region.
This is not a remote position, and candidates who live outside the Olympia area may not be able to meet the immediate-response requirements of the role.

You will serve as a hands-on leader and resource for employees working outside regular business hours, helping staff navigate challenging situations while ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality support.
When an unexpected situation occurs, you will be the person staff can rely on for leadership, direction, and support. About the RoleAs the After Hours Manager, you will provide leadership and operational oversight for our Olympia-area Supported Living clients during hours outside the agency's regular business hours.
You will travel between client homes and other locations as needed and serve as the direct supervisor for employees working during your assigned after-hours shifts.
This is a hands-on management position. You will not simply monitor operations from a desk—you will be in the community, working directly with staff and responding to situations as they arise.
What You'll DoLeadership & Supervision:
Serve as the direct supervisor for employees working assigned after-hours shifts Provide leadership, direction, coaching, and support to staff Respond to staffing concerns and operational issues Provide on-site training and supervisory guidance Provide corrective coaching and retraining when needed Initiate disciplinary action when appropriate and in accordance with agency procedures Serve as a professional role model in conduct, communication, judgment, and professionalism Work closely with Service Coordinators, the Staffing Services Manager, and Administrator to maintain continuity of care Crisis Response & Client SupportImmediate response is a key responsibility of this position.
Responsibilities may include: Responding to client medical emergencies Providing direct crisis intervention and behavioral support Responding to law enforcement involvement Responding to fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies Providing verbal authorization for PRN medications when appropriately delegated Providing transportation or direct client support when operationally necessary Ensuring staff follow client-specific crisis plans and behavioral support strategies Escalating emergencies and critical incidents according to agency and regulatory requirements The After Hours Manager must be able to respond promptly and travel to the appropriate client location when an in-person response is necessary.
Quality Assurance & ComplianceA major part of this position is making sure our clients receive the quality of care they deserve and that staff understand and follow agency requirements. You will conduct unannounced after-hours oversight visits to evaluate: Staff adherence to agency policies and procedures Staff knowledge of client PCSPs, PBSPs, Functional Assessments, and Cross-System Crisis Plans Medication administration and documentation Nurse delegation compliance Supervision and safety practices Professional conduct and staff performance Client support and service quality You will document findings, provide immediate coaching when appropriate, and communicate significant concerns to agency leadership.
Reporting & DocumentationYou will maintain clear and accurate records of after-hours operations, including: Daily after-hours reports Calls, incidents, emergencies, and site concerns Staffing issues and actions taken Incident report follow-up and investigations Weekly Overnight Oversight Evaluations Assigned audits and compliance reviews Critical incident reporting within required timelines Strong documentation matters. Your reports help leadership identify trends, address concerns, support employees, and maintain compliance with applicable DDA requirements.

Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required Completion of required Life Skills Instructor and Care Coordinator training Associate degree or two years of supervisory experience in a related field Current CNA, HCA, or NAR certification with required continuing education Completed Nurse Delegation Training Completed Diabetes Core Training Current CPR/First Aid and Bloodborne Pathogens certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire Valid Washington State driver's license and clean Driver Abstract Ability to pass a criminal background investigation and meet applicable employment requirements Three positive work and/or personal references Strong organizational and interpersonal skills Demonstrated supervisory and crisis-management abilities Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with agency leadership and team members Must live in Olympia or the surrounding area and be able to provide timely in-person response to client emergencies What Makes Someone Successful in This Role? Training & SupportAll employees begin with a 90-day training period, followed by an evaluation to determine continued employment.
You will receive training and support to understand our systems, policies, client needs, documentation requirements, and leadership expectations.
Compensation & BenefitsSalary:
$6,500-$6,700 per monthThis is a salaried, exempt position.
