Director of Operations Gillespie Dentistry Vancouver, WA Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Teamwork Facilities management HIPAA Recruiting Procurement management Full Job Description The Director of Operations for Gillespie Dentistry serves as the backbone of the practices infrastructure. This role is new and part of the changing part of our practice. It is distinct from a traditional office manager, focusing on high-level systems engineering, large-scale team leadership, and operational logistics rather than day-to-day administrative tasks. The responsibilities can be summarized into five key pillars: 1.
Operational Systems Engineering SOP Development:
Designing, implementing, and enforcing standardized protocols, workflows and operational procedures Assist with operational problem-solving and crisis management and monitor daily office operations to identify areas for improvement 2. Human Capital Management •
Leadership & Culture:
Leading and mentoring a staff of 40+ employees. •
Personnel Strategy:
Overseeing the entire employee lifecycle, including talent acquisition, onboarding, performance reviews, and labor management to maintain a high-performing culture. 3. Facility and Logistics •
Supply Chain Management:
Managing large-scale inventory procurement and equipment maintenance to ensure that operatories are always fully stocked and functional. •
Physical Environment:
Maintaining the facility to support the needs of all clinical providers and ensuring a seamless workflow throughout the office. 4. Regulatory Compliance •
Risk Management:
Taking full responsibility for ensuring the practice remains in compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and all state-specific healthcare regulations to protect the practice and its patients. 5. Cross-Functional Integration •
Strategic Collaboration:
Partnering with the Director of Patient Care to ensure that operational infrastructure, staffing, and resources are perfectly aligned with the practice's growth and niche-service objectives.
