Job Description

Role Overview The Manager, Commercial Strategy is responsible for developing and executing integrated commercial strategies that drive profitable revenue growth, market share expansion, increased household penetration, and category leadership in a competitive produce environment. This position sits at the intersection of sales, marketing, category development, trade marketing, and shopper marketing
  • translating consumer insights, category trends, and retailer dynamics into a holistic go-to-market strategy.
Job Description Commercial Strategy:
Lead the development and execution of overarching commercial strategy: define long-term vision, growth priorities, channel/customer plans, and integrated initiatives to drive sustainable revenue, market share, and profitability; synthesize consumer trends, competitive insights, retailer dynamics, and performance data to create differentiated, high-impact plans across the portfolio and channels.
Category Development:
Drive category development initiatives: Serving as the primary advisor to retail partners, leading category reviews, presenting data-driven insights, negotiating initiatives, and collaborating with Sales on joint business plans that benefit customers, growers, and shareholders.
Category Leadership Execution:
Lead category-shaping initiatives: translate consumer/shopper insights, grower supply dynamics, and retailer priorities into actionable plans, activation strategies, and performance tracking to drive trial, velocity, household penetration, and long-term category leadership.
Trade and Shopper Marketing:
Own trade and shopper marketing programs: by designing and executing omnichannel shopper activations (in-store, digital, loyalty, e-commerce) to accelerate trial, conversion, velocity, profitable sales, household penetration and overall brand equity.
Cross-Functional Alignment & Change Management:
Be a change agent: by collaborating with sales partners, sales ops, finance and global marketing to align on shared KPIs/metrics to drive the cultural shift toward data-driven, profitable decisions.
Essential:
Degree qualified in Accounting/ Professional qualification (CA/CPA) Possesses people management experience. Produce/fresh food industry background (CPG is strongly preferred). Commercial Strategy Leadership
  • Ability to develop and execute end to end commercial strategy plans that align long term growth priorities and channel/customer plans, to drive profitable revenue, market share, and category leadership. Advanced Analytical & Insight Generation
  • Strong capability to integrate consumer trends, syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen/IRI), POS insights, competitive intelligence, and retailer performance metrics into clear, actionable commercial recommendations. Category Development & Retailer Influence
  • Proven skills in leading category reviews, providing data driven insights to retail partners, and supporting joint business planning that delivers shared value for customers and suppliers. Trade & Shopper Marketing Execution
  • Expertise in owning omnichannel trade and shopper marketing programs (in store, digital, loyalty, e commerce), evaluating promotional ROI, and aligning execution with revenue growth management levers.
Strong analytical and data-driven skills. Proven proficiency in synthesizing syndicated data (e.g., Nielsen/IRI), POS insights, consumer trends, competitive intelligence, and retailer performance metrics to inform high-impact recommendations. Demonstrated ability to lead category reviews, present data-driven insights to retail partners, negotiate initiatives, and support joint business planning (JBP) processes that create value for customers, growers/suppliers, and the company.
What We Offer Salary range:
USD130,000
