The Role The Senior Director of Operations is accountable for the overall performance of the operation and reports directly to the President and CEO. This role leads the managers responsible for production, quality, procurement, facilities, and the manufacturing workforce. Rather than performing the work directly, the Senior Director of Operations ensures the operation is aligned, resourced, and accountable for delivering profitable, on-time, OEM-quality results. We have earned our reputation through exceptional craftsmanship and trusted OEM partnerships. As we continue to grow, we're investing in the operational leadership needed to support the next stage of the business. We're looking for an operational leader who can strengthen our systems, develop our people, and help us scale without losing what makes us unique. What to Expect We operate in a high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environment where customer requirements vary and production schedules can change quickly. This is not a repetitive production setting. Success in this role requires balancing day-to-day operational performance with long-term improvement while building capable leaders, creating accountability, and strengthening the systems that drive consistent results. Core Responsibilities Overall operational performance and business results Hiring, developing, coaching, and holding department leaders accountable Production planning, capacity, and resource allocation On-time delivery and schedule reliability Quality performance, continuous improvement, and waste reduction Operational cost, labor efficiency, and productivity Procurement, supplier performance, and inventory management Facilities, equipment, and operational readiness Operational KPIs, reporting, and management operating rhythms Cross-functional alignment between operations, sales, engineering, and executive leadership What Success Looks Like in the First 12 to 18 Months Improved on-time delivery and schedule reliability Reduced rework, scrap, and operational waste Established KPIs and a consistent operating cadence Department leaders consistently own results and are accountable for the performance of their areas A more predictable, scalable operation Required Experience 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment Proven experience managing operations within high-mix, low-volume, make-to-order, or custom manufacturing settings Demonstrated accountability for operational performance across multiple manufacturing functions Strong track record of improving throughput, efficiency, and on-time delivery while maintaining high quality standardsWho We Hire:
