WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

Success in this role is demonstrated through measurable and sustainable improvement in safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory performance, cost control, and profitability. The Director of Operations establishes a culture of accountability through disciplined daily, weekly, and monthly operating reviews; identifies performance gaps and root causes through data-driven analysis; develops and executes corrective actions; and ensures results are achieved and sustained over time. Success also requires the development of a strong operations leadership team, implementation of continuous improvement initiatives, and the creation of repeatable processes and operating systems that improve operational performance while supporting Commercial Plastics' long-term growth objectives

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Leadership & Team Development Lead and develop a high-performing operations leadership team while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. You'll provide direction and support to key functional leaders, establish clear expectations, and help build the next generation of manufacturing leadership within the organization. Operational Performance & Strategy Take ownership of the overall performance of our Kenosha manufacturing facility, including safety, quality, delivery, productivity, inventory management, and profitability. Working closely with the COO, you'll help shape and execute operational strategies that support both customer expectations and long-term business objectives. Data-Driven Decision Making Utilize operational and financial data to identify opportunities, solve problems, and drive informed decision-making. You'll establish effective operating review processes, monitor key performance indicators, and ensure teams are focused on root cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions. Continuous Improvement & Manufacturing Excellence Champion a culture of continuous improvement by identifying and implementing initiatives that improve efficiency, reduce waste, increase reliability, and strengthen overall operational performance. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, visual management, and process improvement methodologies is highly valued. Safety, Quality & Customer Commitment Ensure the facility maintains the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. You'll work proactively to address operational risks, resolve issues, and drive corrective actions that support a safe work environment and exceptional customer performance. Production, Capacity & Resource Management Oversee production planning, staffing, equipment utilization, maintenance effectiveness, and inventory performance to ensure customer demands are met efficiently and effectively. You'll evaluate capacity needs and help prioritize resources and investments to support future growth. Financial & Business Leadership Partner with Finance and executive leadership to manage operating budgets, improve cost performance, and drive profitability. You'll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve labor efficiency, reduce waste, control expenses, and deliver measurable business results. Leadership Scope This position provides leadership and direction for the Kenosha manufacturing operation and directly oversees key operational functions, including Plant Management, Quality, Maintenance, Tool Room, Supply Chain, and Shift Leadership. QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Operations Management, Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent directly relevant experience. At least 10 years of progressive manufacturing experience, including five years in a significant operations leadership role. Experience in plastics injection molding or a closely related manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success in managing business development initiatives, process improvement, strategic planning/problem solving and driving revenue growth through innovative strategies. Experience with ERP systems, performance metrics and disciplined operating-review process. Strong Leadership, communication, accountability and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Working knowledge of

ISO 9001, IATF

16949, or other applicable quality systems. Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or comparable continuous improvement training or certification. Experience with manufacturing-execution, production-monitoring, or business-intelligence systems. Spanish-language proficiency.

$125,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
