JOB SUMMARY
The Legal Operations Coordinator will oversee daily legal administration, contract lifecycle management, and marketing compliance. This role will review vendor agreements, consumer-facing marketing assets for regulatory compliance, and support trademark and litigation matters. Serving as a key liaison between Legal and business teams, this role will help streamline operations while keeping the brand compliant and protected.
JOB EXPECTATIONS
Manage the legal inbox and direct inquiries appropriately. Oversee Legal's contract system and assist with management of contract lifecycle. Assist with drafting standard contracts and SOWs. Conduct initial review of vendor contracts to ensure contracts comply with company standards. Flag concerns to General Counsel for final review. Create, organize, and purge digital and physical files for the Legal department. Assist with conducting review process of consumer-facing marketing materials (i.e., digital, print, social media, emails, etc.) to help identify, assess, and mitigate risks. Provide corrections or offer solutions that adhere to legal standards while supporting the vision and direction of the marketing department. Maintain ongoing knowledge of Intellectual Property ("IP"), marketing, and advertising laws and regulations, including but not limited to FTC, NAD, and State Attorney Generals. Act as the liaison between Legal and business units to ensure compliant, high-quality output of promotional marketing assets. Process invoices for Legal service. Troubleshoot any issues with submittals/payments. Maintain and distribute reports. Assist with "IP" docketing. Assist with gathering evidence in litigation matters. Communication with foreign associates on administrative matters. Participation in monthly business unit meetings with Legal team. Other job duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS 1-2
years of related experience. Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience in lieu of degree. Experience organizing case files, handling document holds, and assisting with evidence gathering. Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. A keen eye for details. Hands-on experience with Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) software, reviewing vendor agreements, and drafting standard SOWs/NDAs against established company templates is a plus. Familiarity with advertising, consumer protection, and promotional laws, including regulators like FTC and NAD a plus. Understanding of trademark/copyright basics and experience with IP docketing software a plus.
