Previous construction, exterior, or project management experience is a plus and would be highly valued; however, it is not required . We are willing to train the right person who has a strong work ethic, is organized, communicates well, and is motivated to learn and grow within the commercial construction industry. This is a hands-on, field-based position . The majority of your day will be spent visiting and managing active commercial jobsites rather than sitting in an office. Our Commercial Division works on roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, repairs, replacements, maintenance, and new construction projects throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. We are looking for someone who is dependable, organized, communicates well, pays attention to details, and is willing to learn the construction industry and take ownership of their projects. Responsibilities Visit and manage active commercial jobsites daily. Maintain daily communication with the Commercial Division Manager, foremen, crews, and subcontractors. Monitor project progress, scheduling, workmanship, and jobsite safety. Perform ongoing quality-control inspections and ensure work meets project requirements. Review work orders, plans, specifications, and project scopes. Conduct pre-job walkthroughs with customers, salespeople, and foremen. Review material orders before projects begin. Verify initial material deliveries for correct products, quantities, colors, and accessories. Coordinate returns, dumpsters, and equipment. Take daily jobsite photos and maintain accurate project documentation. Serve as a primary point of contact for customers during active construction. Communicate project status and expected completion dates with management. Coordinate with in-house crews and subcontractors. Identify jobsite problems early and help develop solutions. Document and coordinate change orders and obtain customer approval when required. Complete final project inspections and punch lists. Help ensure projects are completed safely, correctly, professionally, and on schedule. What We're Looking For Dependable, responsible, and willing to take ownership of their work. Organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities. A strong communicator. Detail-oriented with an eye for quality. Comfortable working independently and making decisions in the field. Comfortable communicating with customers, crews, subcontractors, vendors, and management. Willing to learn commercial roofing, siding, windows, doors, gutters, and exterior construction. Willing and able to learn how to read construction plans, specifications, details, and project documents. Comfortable using smartphones, tablets, email, and digital project documentation. A problem-solver who looks for solutions instead of waiting for someone else to handle an issue. Comfortable spending the majority of the workday in the field and on active construction sites. Able to travel between multiple jobsites throughout the workday. Must have a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Previous Project Manager experience would be a strong advantage but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate who has construction knowledge, a strong work ethic, and the ability to learn. Compensation & Benefits $20.00-$30.00 per hour , depending on experience.
