Gerry Raymond Chevrolet of Fairmont is growing fast, and we need a Fixed Operations Manager who can lead a winning team. We're building a brand-new, state-of-the-art 60,000 sq. ft. facility right on I-79. It will be one of the most advanced dealerships in the region, and we want a leader who will help build it from the ground up. This isn't a job where you keep someone else's system running. You build the system. You set the processes, develop the people and run the operation. Train the People. Build the playbook. Create the processes for write-up, dispatch, the parts counter, quality control and the customer experience, and make them the standard. Train the people. Coach advisors, techs and parts staff until your process is second nature and great performance is normal. Develop leaders. Turn good employees into great ones, and great ones into future managers. Keep techs sharp. Keep your technicians trained, certified and up to date on the latest technology. What You'll Do Lead the Service and Parts departments with full authority and a hands-on, high-energy style. Recruit and keep top technicians. Build a team culture where techs feel valued, get paid well and see a real career path. Drive fixed ops performance to meet or beat industry benchmarks, including: Service absorption rate Technician productivity and efficiency Hours per repair order and effective labor rate Parts and service gross profit Parts inventory turn and obsolescence control Customer satisfaction (CSI) and GM warranty compliance Grow customer-pay, warranty and internal work, and work with the sales team to support used-car reconditioning. Help plan the move into the new I-79 facility, including workflow, bay layout, equipment and staffing. Keep the shop safe, clean and fully compliant with OEM and OSHA standards. Set and manage department budgets, pay plans and monthly forecasts. What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of fixed operations management experience at a franchised dealership (GM experience is a big plus). A proven record of growing gross profit, absorption and tech productivity. A builder who creates processes, trains people to follow them and holds the team accountable. A true team builder who can recruit technicians and bring energy every day. Strong knowledge of DMS systems ([CDK / Reynolds / Dealertrack], etc.) and dealership financial statements. Knowledge of GM warranty policies and procedures. Excellent communication and leadership skills. The drive to win and the hunger to build something special.
