Position Overview Following exciting leadership enhancements at our facility, we are searching for a high-caliber Production Operations Manager . In this executive role, you will partner directly with our forward-thinking owner to run plant operations, optimize shop throughput, and lead a skilled team of aircraft fabricators and technicians. We don't want a desk-bound administrator—we want a visible, empowering leader who knows how to inspire shop-floor teams, implement lean manufacturing, and respect the deep autonomy of master craftspeople.
What You'll Do Plant Operational Leadership:
Oversee daily factory throughput, master scheduling, capacity planning, and workflow sequencing across fabrication, painting, and assembly.
Empowerment & Culture:
Foster a culture of autonomy, accountability, and continuous improvement. Mentor lead techs and build a positive, unified team spirit.
Process Innovation:
Collaborate with company ownership to introduce modern manufacturing methodologies, smart shop layouts, and updated tooling technology.
Quality & Safety Standards:
Ensure all manufacturing processes adhere strictly to company quality specs, safety standards, and aerospace guidelines.
Cross-Department Alignment:
Drive seamless communication between engineering, purchasing, shipping, and shop-floor leads to hit delivery milestones. What You Bring 5+ years of operational leadership experience in manufacturing (aerospace, aircraft, or precision structural fabrication strongly preferred). Proven track record of guiding production teams through process modernization and growth. Servant-leadership management style—approachable, transparent, and grounded. Deep knowledge of shop safety, lean principles, capacity planning, and shop-floor metrics.
