Job Description
Company Overview DeConna Ice Cream is a trusted distributor of ice cream products, serving customers across Florida. Built on a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, we have become a reliable partner in the food distribution industry. Position Summary DeConna Ice Cream is seeking a Freezer Order Selector to accurately and efficiently pick customer orders in a sub-zero freezer environment. This physically demanding role helps ensure frozen products are prepared correctly and delivered to customers on time and in good condition. Qualifications and Work Conditions Previous experience with order picking and repacking is preferred. Must be comfortable working in temperatures below 0 degrees; DeConna provides protective clothing. Strong attention to detail is important. Must be able to regularly lift products up to 50 lbs. and bend, stand, and move for extended periods. Key Responsibilities Read selection labels to identify slot locations. Confirm product descriptions and quantities required for each order. Pull the correct quantities of designated full-case products from assigned slot locations. Stand, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout the shift. Work safely and effectively in extremely cold temperatures. Operate an electric pallet jack; experience is a plus. Be available to work some Saturdays as needed. Compensation Hourly pay will be discussed at the time of hire. Employment Requirements DeConna Ice Cream is a drug-free workplace. Drug testing and a background check are required.
