! Position Summary The Warehouse Hustler plays a vital role in our order fulfillment process by selecting, building, and staging fresh produce orders accurately and efficiently. Utilizing handheld RF scanners and powered industrial equipment—including forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and walkie riders—this role ensures that customer orders are correctly selected, verified, wrapped, and prepared for delivery in a fast-paced, cold-storage environment.
Key Responsibilities Order Selection & RF Scanner Operations:
Receive and follow order picking assignments using a handheld RF scanner. Navigate the warehouse to accurately locate, pull, and stack specified fresh produce onto pallets.
Equipment Operation & Handling:
Safely operate forklifts, electric pallet jacks, and walkie riders to transport materials and build secure pallets. Perform general warehouse activities, including loading, unloading, sorting, and manually moving products as needed.
Quality Control & Staging:
Present fully picked pallets to the Quality Checker for item and quantity verification prior to final staging. Securely shrink-wrap completed orders and stage them in the designated dock area for delivery.
Safety & Compliance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in compliance with OSHA and Food Safety standards. Adhere to all facility safety rules, operating guidelines, and cold-storage protocols around high-traffic areas.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements Experience:
Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a warehouse/distribution environment (food distribution experience preferred).
Equipment & Tech Skills:
Demonstrated experience operating forklifts, electric pallet jacks, walkie riders, and handheld RF scanners.
Environment:
Ability to work comfortably in a continuous refrigerated/cold-storage environment.
Physical Demands:
Ability to regularly lift up to 50 lbs. and remain standing or walking for long periods throughout your shift.
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED required; fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English; safety shoes required as part of mandatory PPE.
Detail & Focus:
Strong attention to detail, spatial awareness, and a commitment to safe equipment operation around team members.
Pay:
$20.00 per hour
