Although Metal Treaters began as a tool & die heat treater, the company now offers full-service capabilities that include Vacuum Processing of the Tool Steels, Induction, Carburizing, and Neutral Hardening. We have customers within airspace engineering, automotive and medical industries, etc., many who have been valued and loyal customers for years.

Job Summary:

Perform functions on incoming orders necessary to get them into processing.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Inspect incoming orders and paperwork and note any discrepancies. Identify order and forward paperwork to order entry. Obtain shop traveler from order entry and locate proper order. Perform part identification procedures by prescribed company methods. Distribute orders to proper staging area for processing. Maintains a clean work area. Assists Supervisor in training functions as directed. Ensures security and proper use of company equipment, tooling, and supplies. Adheres to all safety standards and procedures, and maintains an ongoing awareness of safety for self and others in assigned work areas. Participates in company sponsored training as required. Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:

Assists with all shipping duties.

Qualifications:

Ability to follow directions and work efficiently. Ability to do basic counting and measurements. Ability to operate basic computer functions.

Working Conditions:

Office and factory environment, may encounter dirt, dust, oil, processing chemicals and varying temperatures.

Physical Requirements:

Able to lift up to 50 pounds. Considerable amount of walking, standing, and bending. Required to wear safety shoes.

Full-time with benefits.

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
