Independently researches, provides analysis and recommendations onprocessing strategies with utilization of various systems, procedures and tactical techniques.

Provides guidance, research assistance and training to Cost Basis associates. Providesassistance with statements audits, correspondence creation, analysis of reports and unitinitiatives. Job DescriptionDuties & Responsibilities1. Reviews Client requests for accuracy, good order and adherence to Regulatory guidelinesfor items of the highest complexity. Interacts with other areas of the division, as needed, tocomplete the client request timely and accurately.2. Calculates and maintains cost basis information for client holdings using proprietarysoftware programs in accordance with Internal Revenue Service regulations and establishedVanguard legal requirements and department procedures.3. Analyzes historical records and information provided by clients and other investment firmsin order to reconstruct and/or verify the accuracy of cost basis information.4. Assesses corporate actions and determines the resulting cost basis implications. Validatessystematically generated output to ensure accuracy and makes adjustments when disparitiesoccur. Validates that cost basis data is maintained accurately in client facing resources andmaterials. Qualifications Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of training and experiencepreferred. Accounting/finance background, brokerage industry experience preferred. Brokerage product expertise preferred. Upskilling will be required in thereconciliation of Corporate Actions, Options, Margin accounting, FixedIncome, Convertible Securities, and other specialized brokerageproducts.  Ability to function as part of a team, learn quickly and adapt in a dynamicenvironment. Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent time management, problem resolution, research and communication skills. Computer proficiency required, ability to learn and utilize proprietary softwareprograms preferred. Outstanding positive attitude with ability and willingness to effectively work within ateam environment and give/receive constructive feedback. Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a rapidly changing environment.
