Job Summary:
The Order Selector picks products in the Distribution Center. Place orders on pallets and staging areas. Operates forklifts to pick products. Efficiently handle merchandise flow throughout the distribution center in an accurate, productive, and safe manner.
Job Level:
Entry Level Essential Duties/Responsibilities:
Order picking per pick ticket requirements. Maintain accuracy, cleanliness, 5S practice, and maintain pick rate requirements. Pick orders from the carousel, main, flow racks/pick module, and other areas as necessary. Use RF scanner for picking. Heavy use of Crown forklift stock pickers and reach lifts as primary picking equipment. Read orders for shipping information, special instructions, product location, and quantity accurately. Cycle counting and inventory control. Work overtime as needed. Work in other areas as necessary. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
Job Qualifications:
Forklift experience. Experience with Microsoft Office Products and AS400 knowledge. Repetitively lift up to 50lbs. Good verbal and written communication skills. Ability to read and do basic mathematics. Understand and respond to written and verbal instructions in English for the purposes of safety, work instructions, policies, etc. Other duties assigned by Supervisor.
Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Environment:
Approximately 100% of the time performing job duties is spent indoors in a warehouse with limited heating or air conditioning. The temperature of the work environment, when in the office, is moderate. The temperature of the work environment in the warehouse may equal to the outside temperatures of the area. While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to the risk of electric shock. Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Seldom lift from overhead or below the waist Occasionally bend, twist, push, pull, climb, squat, crawl, kneel Frequently reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stand and walk; grasp with hands and fingers; and lift (up to 50 lbs.) Continuously sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls and key (i.e., computer, calculator, telephone). Machines, Tools and Equipment Frequently use copier, fax, and 10-key calculator Continuously use writing instruments, computer and telephone Continuously use standup reach, propane sit-down, and picking lift forklifts
