Position Description:
The Sr. Division Order Analyst determines royalty and working interest ownership through analysis of title documents and interest owner correspondence. The Analyst's primary function is to maintain and update system and electronic records to reflect current record title ownership. They will serve as a key member of the Land Administration team in our Northwest, Houston office with responsibilities including, but not limited to, the following: Analyze Division Order Title Opinions to establish ownership Assist Client in resolving any title issues/disputes that may be present Set up new properties and expire any that are no longer active Examine title instruments pertaining to transfers of interest (deeds, assignments, conveyances, trusts, probate documents, etc.) Update data in Opportune's systems to reflect changes in ownership Prepare Division and/or Transfer Orders in accordance with record title ownership On behalf of the Client, prepare letters to owners in response to various Division Order questions relative to changes in ownership, title issues, general well information, etc. On behalf of the Client, assist Opportune's Royalty Relations Specialists with answering interest owners' telephone and written inquiries regarding interest calculations, requirements for changes in ownership, title discrepancies, etc. Assist internal personnel with various projects that arise from, or that involve Division Order issues Process executed division orders, transfer orders, address changes, and property updates in Opportune's systems
Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelor's degree. Candidates must have a minimum of five (5) years of Division Order Analyst experience. Experience working in land administration a plus Written and verbal communication skills; excellent customer service skills with internal and external parties Candidates must have a strong math aptitude and be detail-oriented Experience utilizing Land Systems; BOLO experience preferred Flexibility, multi-tasking, problem-solving, time management and organization skills required Self-starter, ability to work independently at assigned tasks and to work as a team member within the department Willingness to accept a work schedule with various demands which will vary as departmental workload/projects fluctuate
