Job Description
Job Summary Join our dynamic warehouse team as an Order Picker, where you'll play a vital role in ensuring accurate and efficient order fulfillment. This energetic position involves selecting products from inventory, operating various warehouse equipment, and preparing shipments for dispatch. Responsibilities Utilize RF scanners and barcode scanning technology to accurately pick, pack, and process customer orders. Operate heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently. Conduct manual handling tasks including lifting, stacking, and loading goods while adhering to safety protocols and PPE requirements. Manage inventory through warehouse management systems (WMS), ensuring stock levels are accurate and properly organized. Prepare orders for shipment by packing items securely, labeling packages correctly, and verifying order accuracy through quality control checks. Load and unload shipments using appropriate equipment, maintaining a safe work environment at all times. Support warehouse distribution activities including shipping & receiving, stocking, and inventory management to optimize workflow. Skills Proven experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems for order fulfillment accuracy. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper safety procedures. Familiarity with barcode scanning for logistics operations including order picking, packing, shipping & receiving. Basic math skills for measuring quantities, calculating weights, or verifying inventory counts. Excellent understanding of warehouse operations including safety protocol adherence and quality control standards. Mechanical aptitude or prior experience with heavy equipment operation is a plus.
