ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
The purpose of the Lead Puller is to pull and pack material for job orders and customer orders and assist with other tasks related to processing and shipping orders on-time and accurately to our customers. This position will be the go-to for performing stock checks, as well as pulling and preparing transfers. Responsible for training new employees and assisting in the development of pulling associates. Conducts regular inventory stock checks to ensure accuracy and availability of product. Pulls raw materials from the main warehouse to support production and assembly jobs. Organizes and prepares outgoing transfers to ensure timely and efficient transit. Utilize pick ticket, line-item information to pull material and deliver to packaging, assembly, or plating as instructed on the pick ticket. Examine and inspect material for wear or defects, reporting any damage to management. Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records. Pack customer purchases per customer's requirements. Ensure that work areas are maintained in a neat and orderly manner at all times. Comply with all company policies and procedures including Health, Safety and Quality Assurance policies. Report injuries, accidents, near misses or unsafe conditions to a supervisor or Manager immediately. Other duties as assigned.
EXPERIENCE
1+ years of related experience and/or training in a warehouse environment. Proven ability to communicate and work effectively and efficiently.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to pass basic reading, math, measurement, parts matching and counting test. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Organizational skills and must be able to multi-task. Able to read, understand, interpret and follow detailed work instructions and manufacturing specifications. Ability to adjust to changes without compromising Quality or Performance. Must be able to work a shift schedule and overtime as needed, including weekends. Must be able to work at heights above 10 feet. Must be able to read a tape measure or other measuring devices.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to stand for the duration of scheduled shift Moderate physical effort handling parts. Ability to frequently exert average effort. Ability to manually load or unload materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, saws, and trucks. Able to lift items weighing up 50 lbs. occasionally and up to 20 lbs. repetitively. Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision, Peripheral vision, Depth perception and Ability to adjust focus Manual dexterity using hands, fingers, and arms to push, pull, reach, grab, hold, lift, and hammer Continuous mental and visual attention in cleaning. Diversified duties requiring constant alertness or activity
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Manufacturing environment with multi step process production runs on different machines. High value highly customized components, long and large parts, and high precision manufacturing for critical service applications
