Job Description

At James and James Furniture - Heber Springs, the Assembly & Packaging Associate is responsible for assembling custom furniture components and preparing finished products for shipment. This role ensures each piece meets quality standards and is properly packaged to arrive safely to our customers.
What You'll Do:
Assemble furniture components according to production specifications. Inspect finished pieces for quality, defects, or damage. Wrap, cushion, and package furniture using appropriate materials. Prepare and label products for shipment. Stage packaged items for pickup or transport. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. Follow production schedules and shipping deadlines. Work closely with production and shipping teams to ensure efficiency.
What We're Looking For:
Detail-oriented with pride in quality craftsmanship. Comfortable using basic hand tools and working with furniture components. Team player with a strong work ethic. Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment. Reliable attendance and commitment to safety.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED preferred. Previous manufacturing, assembly, or packaging experience preferred. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. Ability to follow instructions and meet quality standards consistently.
General Requirements:
Follow all safety and OSHA guidelines. Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE). Maintain a clean and organized workspace. Ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime when needed.
