Essential Functions Pay Rate:
$20.00 per hour (Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7:00pm and 11:59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12:00am-4:59am) This position requires the worker to transfer full racks of product from the various packaging lines to the crust tunnel for further transfer to WP. Workers may move one, two or even three racks at one time depending on how busy the area is and how heavy the racks are. The racks are moved into the entrance of the crust tunnel by workers. The crust tunnel is a subzero freezer tunnel that is designed to apply a thin layer of ice to the outer most layer of the various products that are passed through it. Occasionally a rack may tip, or product may need to be rearranged in each tray and the worker will be required to lift product from floor level up to above shoulder level. The various weights of the individual products are listed below. Movers rotate through the lines every 2 hours or are directed to the region of the line that demand requires. Approximately 1700 racks are moved during a shift, this requires 340 racks per worker or 1 rack every 40 seconds. The inertial push force required to move one rack of 7 baskets of fryer bags is 54.9 pounds. The push force required to overcome inertia to move two racks of stacked baskets (seven high) of fryer bags is 106.4 pounds. The inertial push force required to move 3 racks of 7 baskets of fryer bags cart of product is 152.6 pounds. This push is completed at waist to shoulder height. This push is completed using bilateral neutral forearms, shoulder width, with bilateral extended wrists. This is a frequent push. The pull force required to overcome inertia to move a rack of stacked baskets (seven high) of fryer bags is 81.8 pounds. This pull is completed at waist to shoulder height. This pull is completed using bilateral neutral forearms, shoulder width, with hook grasp. Area Supervisors will perform restacking if needed. If minor basket product arranging is needed workers may be required to lift the items listed below. Bag Fryers- 5 to 5.5 lbs.
