This role involves assembling, packaging, and preparing products in a controlled cold setting to ensure quality and safety standards are met. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and capable of working efficiently in a cold environment while adhering to manufacturing procedures and safety protocols. Responsibilities Operate packaging equipment efficiently, ensuring products are packed according to manufacturing standards and specifications. Interpret production documents, work orders, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately to maintain consistency. Handle materials safely using appropriate handling equipment such as forklifts and material carts, following all safety standards. Perform heavy lifting and manual assembly tasks while maintaining proper ergonomic practices. Troubleshoot mechanical issues with packaging machinery promptly to minimize downtime. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cold environment workspace in compliance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) regulations. Adhere strictly to safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety procedures during all operations. Assist with warehouse operations related to materials handling, inventory management, and shipping preparations. Support continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback on equipment performance and process efficiencies. Qualifications Prior experience in a manufacturing facility, particularly within a cold or refrigerated environment preferred. Knowledge of packaging equipment operation and industrial equipment troubleshooting. Familiarity with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs), GMP, FDA regulations, and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice). Mechanical knowledge related to machinery maintenance and troubleshooting. Ability to interpret production documents accurately and perform basic math calculations reliably. Experience operating material handling equipment such as forklifts is desirable; certification is a plus. Strong understanding of safety standards in production environments, including heavy lifting techniques. Basic understanding of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is advantageous but not mandatory. Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting. This position is integral to maintaining high-quality production standards within a regulated environment.
