$18.90 Job Summary We are looking for a reliable and motivated Entry-Level Machine Operator to join our production team in Pomona. Under the direction of the Area Sr. Lead, the Machine Operator will operate, monitor, clean, and perform basic adjustments to production equipment while ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and according to quality standards. This is an entry-level position. Previous machine operating or production experience is helpful, but candidates who demonstrate a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and ability to follow instructions are encouraged to apply. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMachine Operation Operate, monitor, and clean assigned production equipment. Perform basic machine adjustments as needed. Monitor equipment to minimize downtime and production issues. Make sure the correct packaging materials are being used for each product. Continuously inspect products for quality and report any defects or problems. Maintain efficient production while following all safety and food-quality procedures. Production & Changeovers Assist with machine start-up, product changeovers, and production shutdown. Follow established procedures for equipment cleaning and sanitation. Produce finished goods and work-in-process (WIP) according to the daily production schedule. Assist other production areas when needed. Packing Operate as a packer or packing operator as directed by the Lead or Supervisor. Inspect and properly pack finished products. Ensure products are packaged according to company standards. Quality & Food Safety Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Perform required quality checks throughout the production process. Report product defects and quality concerns immediately. Complete required production and quality documentation. Attend required food safety and quality training. Help maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary production environment. Sanitation & Cleaning Follow the company's sanitation procedures. Clean and sanitize production equipment and work areas. Assist with disassembling, cleaning, sanitizing, and reassembling equipment as required. Perform general cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, washing, and wiping. Follow proper food-safety practices to prevent product contamination. Documentation & Communication Complete required production, quality, and sanitation paperwork accurately. Perform scheduled quality checks and document results. Communicate effectively with coworkers, Leads, and Supervisors. Report equipment, safety, quality, or production concerns promptly. Qualifications Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to follow safety, food safety, and sanitation procedures. Basic math skills and ability to use a calculator. Ability to accurately complete production and quality forms. Strong attention to detail and organization. Good communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to learn machine operation and production processes. Previous manufacturing, food production, packaging, or machine operation experience is a plus. Physical Requirements Must be able to lift 25 pounds . Items weighing more than 50 pounds must be lifted with proper technique and assistance from another employee when required . Must be able to use both hands continuously for inspecting and packing finished products. Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive hand movements throughout the shift. Must be able to work safely in a production environment. Must wear required PPE and follow all company safety procedures. Work Environment Fast-paced food production environment. Requires frequent standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive hand movements. Employees must maintain a clean and organized work area. Must be comfortable working around production machinery and following strict food-safety and sanitation requirements.
