Job Description
Job Overview Lepe's Foods is hiring a Meat Packer / Labeler to join our USDA-certified processing team. In this role, you'll weigh, pack, price, and label wholesale meat products for distribution across Sonoma County, the Bay Area, and Northern California. Your precision and speed directly impact our customers' orders and our reputation. Responsibilities Package, label, and seal meat products accurately Weigh and portion products to order specifications Apply accurate labels with weight, price, date, and product information Verify labeling and order accuracy before products move to shipment Operate labeling and packaging equipment Stage and palletize completed orders for the cooler, freezer, and delivery dock Maintain organized, USDA-compliant packaging and labeling stations Support butchers and team leads with setup and cleanup tasks Work at a consistent pace to meet daily production targets Follow all USDA food safety, handling, and sanitation standards Requirements Punctual, dependable, and able to follow directions carefully Strong attention to detail and accuracy — labeling errors directly affect orders Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, repetitive environment Able to work in a refrigerated environment (35-45°F) Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long periods Positive team-player attitude and willingness to learn Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred but not required Previous food handling, labeling, packaging, or warehouse experience preferred Join our team as a Processing Assistant and contribute to delivering high-quality food products while ensuring compliance with industry standards.
