Production Packer Job Description This role focuses on preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment. You inspect parts for quality, organize inventory, and pack orders accurately into appropriate containers while maintaining clear documentation and supporting the broader production and warehouse team. Responsibilities Prepare finished products for packing in accordance with established procedures and quality standards. Perform visual inspection of parts before packaging, identifying defects and removing any debris or foreign material. Sort parts after they are picked and organize inventory to ensure efficient access and accurate stock levels. Pack orders into the correct box or container, ensuring items are secure and properly protected for shipment. Label cartons with the appropriate information, including product details and shipping identifiers, to ensure traceability. Document inventory and shipping information using computer systems and basic software tools. Pack and organize product orders to meet daily production and shipping schedules. Support other packers and team members as needed to maintain workflow and meet production targets. Report all equipment or process problems promptly to the lead or appropriate contact so issues can be resolved quickly. Follow established safety, quality, and production guidelines within the warehouse and manufacturing areas. Essential Skills Hands-on experience with packing, picking, and warehouse operations in a production or manufacturing setting. Ability to perform detailed visual inspections of parts to identify defects, debris, or nonconforming conditions before packaging. Proficiency in packing and organizing product orders accurately and efficiently. Basic computer literacy to document inventory, record shipping information, and navigate simple software or warehouse systems. Capability to sort parts and organize inventory in a logical, systematic manner. Ability to label cartons clearly and accurately with required product and shipping information. Willingness and flexibility to support other packers and team members as operational needs change. Responsiveness in reporting equipment or process problems to the appropriate lead or contact. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards in an aerospace manufacturing environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Previous experience working in a warehouse, packing, picking, production, or similar environment.
