Job Description

Prepare materials for domestic and international shipment according to customers' instructions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Compare identifying information and counts, weighs, or measures items of outgoing shipments to verify against packing information. Assemble containers or selects preassembled containers for shipment. Determine method of shipment according to ship method requested or most desirable shipping method. Use computerized shipping system to enter shipping information. Prepare bill of ladings on truck shipments and commercial invoices on foreign shipments. Affix shipping labels on packed cartons or writes identifying shipping information on cartons. Post weights and shipping charges on requisitions and affix postage as appropriate per department. Route truck shipments and call common couriers to make arrangements for shipments. Load shipments onto trucks as required. Attend Warehouse meetings as required. Ensures a strong commitment to quality and adheres to all
ISO 9001
related standards. Complies with all safety policies and reports any safety issues immediately to a manager. All other duties/ responsibilities as deemed appropriate by management. Displays behavior and judgment that consistently upholds Hibbert ACT values.
SKILLS:
Strong math, reading, and clerical skills. Good prioritization and problem solving skills. Ability to use warehouse equipment including forklift, order picker, count scale, electric jack and manual hand jack. Ability to work independently toward general results. Must demonstrate working proficiency of the English language Can effectively communicate with, but not limited to, English speaking employees/other business contacts (contractors, customers, vendors, etc). Successfully comprehends business materials written in English (job assignments, instructions, etc) Ability to learn cGMP requirements as it relates to their role - required prior to working on cGMP service lines. Ability to learn PDMA requirements as it relates to their role - required prior to working on Prescription Drug service lines.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma/GED. Heavy lifting to 80 lbs.
