Seasonal Hunting Wrangler/ Packer and Cook Positions. We are looking to take on a horse wranger/ packer and a cook for the 2026 season for a professional hunting operation specializing in elk and big game hunts across public lands in Colorado, we operate with a strong emphasis on safety, ethics, teamwork, and exceptional client experience.

Position Overview :

Seasonal hunting wrangler/ packer and cook support all aspects of hunting operations including camp setup, client care, horse care, hunt execution and maintaining company standards throughout the season.

Responsibilities:

Packing of clients gear in and out of remote backcountry camps Assist with guided hunts and daily operations Camp setup, breakdown, and maintenance Professional Client Interaction Pack out harvested animals securely and efficiently, utilizing proper techniques for transportation and preservation Adherence to safety and ethical standards Follow all company procedures and chain of command Prepare a variety of meals using food industry standards, including meal planning, food production, and cooking in a wilderness environment Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively Requirements Prior backcountry packing, cooking, hunting or guiding experience Horse care and maintenance Strong physical condition and reliability Team-oriented mindset Availability for full season preferred Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining energy and enthusiasm Pay is depending on experience and daily.
