Job Title:
Packer/Palletizer Summary In the Packer position, you'll work closely with our Machine Operators, Floor Supervisors and Factory Management team to ensure that LesserEvil's Factory Operations are safe, running at optimal speed and producing top quality products. In this role you will be expected to efficiently pack products and ensure a safe work environment at all times. The position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor. •

10:30PM - 6:30AM Responsibilities In the Packer/Palletizer role there are three positions you will be expected to learn and work from.
They are:
Packer, Palletizer and Pallet Wrapper. When working in the packer position, you will be expected to: Place finished products into corrugated cases, with attention to detail on the following quality items: Bag seal quality Bag alignment The fill of the bag The expiration date Inserting the corrugated cases through the case sealer/"taper" When working in the palletizer position, you will be expected to: Check the integrity of the case seal. Apply the case label, with attention to detail on the following quality items: Product code Product expiration date Quantity of labels required Correct corrugated case (printed, blank, etc.) Place the case on the pallet in alignment with the job aide for the product. Move the pallet to the pallet wrapping area. Safely operating the pallet jack when moving pallets. When working in the pallet wrapper position, you will be expected to: Applying the quality control stickers to pallets. This acts as the product and pallet release. Applying pallet destination labels and coordinating the pallet onto appropriate trailers. Moving the pallets on and off the wrapping machinery. Safely operating the pallet wrapping machinery. Safely operating the pallet jack when moving pallets. Loading pallets into the docked trucks, with attention to detail regarding the pallet position within the trailer. Floor supervisors and/or warehouse management will communicate these pallet positions directly. Data entry/communication with inventory and warehouse teams as directed. In all three positions, you will focus on: Keeping your work environment clean and safe. Participating in equipment brush downs and deep cleaning activities as directed. Communicating with upper management to give feedback on operational issues and improvements. Utilizing a continuous improvement mindset. Performing other related duties as assigned and special projects as designated. Qualifications High School degree or equivalent work experience 1+ years of factory production experience Proficient written and verbal communication skills Ability to work without direct supervision Ability to collaborate with different departments Working Conditions Meeting standards of GMP/SQF Able to work safely in loud, automated machine intense areas. Able to work in conditions that may be loud, wet, and/or dusty from airborne particles Able to work in conditions with unregulated/varying temperatures Able to work in conditions where floors may be slippery due to environmental hazards (ex. raw materials overflow, splashing of water in sanitation area, etc.) Able to work in conditions where PPE may be required (Respirator, face mask, etc.) Prolonged periods of standing, bending, sitting, kneeling, crouching or climbing. Climbing ladders and/or stairs. Comfortable working from a mezzanine with active machinery Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Physical Requirements Able to lift at least 50 lbs.
