Production and Packaging Assistant Khamsa Foods LLC Washington, DC Job Details Part-time From $19 an hour 3 hours ago Benefits Flexible schedule Qualifications Defect detection (quality control) Maintaining an organized workspace Expiration dates monitoring Manufacturing facilities cleaning Food service workstation cleanliness Packing Labeling Moving Manual packaging Bottle packaging Food & beverage production Stock organizing Packaging (food) Packaging assembly Visual inspection for quality control Beverage manufacturing facility experience Production records Food Handler Certification Entry level Full Job Description Production & Packaging Assistant — Khamsa Tonic Washington, DC Part-time | W-2 | $21/hour Khamsa Tonic, a growing DC-based wellness beverage company, is looking for a reliable, detail-oriented Production & Packaging Assistant to help with small-batch beverage production.
Schedule:
Approximately 5 production days per month, 8 hours per day (about 40 hours/month) to start. We anticipate expanding production over the next 3-6 months, with the opportunity for this role to grow into additional kitchen days and hours as production increases.
Responsibilities:
Operate a bottle-filling machine (training provided) Hand-cap, label and package 2 oz bottles Accurately count and record quantities produced Date and organize production crates for inventory and expiration tracking Break down, clean and sanitize filling equipment Maintain a clean, organized production area Lift and move filled crates and production supplies Watch for product or packaging inconsistencies and flag them for quality control We're looking for someone who is: Meticulous, dependable and organized Comfortable with repetitive, hands-on work Able to work independently once trained Experienced working in a commercial kitchen Food-handler certified Comfortable lifting heavy crates and standing during production Food/beverage production or packaging experience is preferred.

$21/hour
Hours:
Approximately 40 hours/month to start, with anticipated growth over the next 3-6 months. Training on our filling equipment and production procedures will be provided. Please apply with your résumé and availability.
