The Kit Pack Associate is responsible for accurately assembling, inspecting, and packaging printed materials and other products according to customer specifications. This position works in a fast-paced print and fulfillment environment and requires strong attention to detail, organization, and the ability to meet production deadlines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assemble kits and packages according to customer orders, work instructions, and established procedures. Pick and organize printed materials, products, inserts, and other components required for each kit. Verify quantities, versions, and components to ensure kits are complete and accurate. Inspect printed materials and finished kits for quality, accuracy, and defects. Fold, collate, insert, label, and package materials as required. Operate basic production and packaging equipment as trained. Prepare completed kits for shipment, including boxing, labeling, and palletizing when necessary. Follow job tickets, production schedules, and written instructions to ensure orders are completed correctly and on time. Maintain accurate counts of materials and finished products. Identify and report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to the appropriate supervisor. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements. Assist with general production, fulfillment, and warehouse duties as needed. Meet established productivity and quality standards. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous experience in a print, production, fulfillment, warehouse, or packaging environment preferred but not required. Ability to read and follow written instructions and work orders. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy while performing repetitive tasks. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Ability to work independently as well as as part of a team. Basic math skills, including the ability to count and verify quantities accurately. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time during the workday. Ability to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and use hands and fingers to handle materials. Ability to lift and move boxes and materials weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to perform repetitive motions associated with picking, packing, folding, inserting, and assembling products. Ability to work in a production environment with exposure to typical print facility noise and equipment.
Work Environment:
This position works primarily in a print production and fulfillment facility. The environment may be fast-paced and deadline-driven, with exposure to machinery, paper products, packaging materials, and typical production noise. Employees are expected to follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
