): I. Stripping A Creel A. Tubes 1. Locate boxes at back of creel. 2. Remove caps from tubes. 3. Save empty tubes and place in tube box at back of creel. 4. Do not overfill. B. Cones 1. Locate boxes at back of creel. 2. Nest cones together and place in boxes (TWIST

). 3. Separate plastic and cardboard into different boxes. C. RAA(Run All Available) 1. When cutting our yarn to be stripped off creel, pull 2 to 3 feet away from yarn package so yarn end does not go up the tube . 2. Locate boxes in creel. 3. Strip all available yarn (RAA) and place into box. 4. Fill boxes with yarn. D. EOL(End Of Lot) 1. When cutting out yarn to be stripped off, pull 2 to 3 feet away from yarn package so yarn end does not go up the tube. 2. Locate boxes in creel and fill with yarn. 3. Push the boxes of yarn to the back of the creel for removal. II. Doubling in a Creel A. Hanging Yarn 1. Check lot number stickers on outside of case before opening. 2. Compare chalk marks on lot being hung to that which is currently running. 3. Check the yarn lot number on each package before hanging to ensure it is the correct lot. 4. Hang yarn in a bottom to top sequence and stagger load the yarn when placing on the creel rack. 5. Position tails to hang freely downward. 6. Push yarn package to rear of cone holder. 7. Use good footing to avoid slipping. B. Hanging Yarn 1. All conventional creels will use a procedure whereby every cone that is hung on the creel will be tied in as it is hung. Hang yarn in a bottom to top configuration; that is, hang the bottom cone and tie in first, then move to the second from the bottom and repeat. Continue in the same manner doing the top position last.
NOTE:
Follow this procedure at all times, under all circumstances. No modifications of the procedure should be made. III. Cutting Back A Creel A. Place larger yarn packages on creel and cut them back. Use smaller yarn packages to balance creel. B. Pull cut back yarn off the creel place in boxes. IV. Air Splicing 1. Proper procedure for splicing knots will be individually instructed. 2. Airsplice yarn packages with the airsplice gun. . V. Preventing Mixed Yarn A. Be cautious to avoid mixed yarn. Mixed yarn on a creel occurs when: A yarn Package is "capped" in a yarn mill, a yarn package of a different lot is hung with the lot that is running, or the creel was not stripped completely before a new lot was hung. B. The paper on back of the warper displays the yarn lot number that is currently being run on that creel. VI. Spotting a Creel A. As creel starts to run out randomly, place yarn next to smaller yarn packages, Splice in to keep machine running continuously. VII. Merging Lots A. When one yarn lot is run down on a creel, load the next yarn lot and splice into the first. B. Check for proper yarn lot and notify Beam Lead if any other lot is found. C. Never hang two lots on creel at same time. Two lots are only allowed to run on a machine at the same time only under merge conditions. VIII. Performing Other Duties A. Never go by chalk marks to determine yarn lots. B. Sweep and clean creels before leaving. C. Use pallet Jack to load and unload yarn for creels IX. Following Safety Procedures A. Do no throw yarn packages, cones or tubes. B. Keep red tip on snips when not in use. C. Use good footing when stepping up on creel railing. X. Following Established Attendance Policy A Must adhere to the Corporate Attendance Policy. B. Must call in and speak to previous shift Supervisor one To two hours prior to shift change. C. Must speak personally with your Supervisor detailing the reason for your absence. XI. Adhering to
