Job Description

Position Summary The Freezer Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate daily inventory and coordinating the proper storage, rotation, staging, and movement of finished goods, raw materials, WIP, rework, and QA-held products. The position also maintains freezer housekeeping and safety standards, addresses damaged pallets and storage issues, and performs other duties as assigned by leadership. Responsibilities This list of daily duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities. Cycle count freezer providing copies of count sheets to leadership. Ensure discrepancies are updated in SAP Monitor and communicate to QA and management damaged product that needs to be reworked Maintain QA held product in a manner that can be controlled and recalled as needed Coordinate with quality and production to get hold products and rework pallets corrected daily Conduct verification inventories as requested Ensure finished goods inventory is rotated properly avoiding old age issues. Incoming materials organized in FIFO manner. Oldest product is rotated to ship first. Housekeeping - sweep floors, salt floors, pick up debris, knock down debris/snow/ice from racks, walls, floor, and ceiling of freezer Fix damaged pallets stuck in the racks Direct S/R personnel on where new production, raw materials, WIP, partial pallets, R D and hold products should be stored Plan and stage partials, rework, and other materials needed for next production day as required Ensure frozen material staged in other coolers are placarded with pull date Recommend Shipping Coordinator product movements to CSW Ensure that all shipments out of the freezer should have verified pick lists Communicate with operations, shipping, and QA throughout shift Other duties as assigned by leadership Performs other related duties as assigned Qualifications Must have at least 1 years' experience in shipping and receiving, inventory or any other related field. Must have basic to intermediate computer knowledge. Must have reach truck and/or high-level picking experience. Exceptional hand/eye coordination Strong organizational skills FIFO orientation Ability to multitask and fill needs from internal customers. Willingness to learn and adapt. Preferred Qualifications Accurate RF Scanner ability Operation of automated electronic warehousing rack system FIFO organization
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Work is performed primarily in a food manufacturing, warehouse and freezer environment. Approximately 90% of the time is spent in a sub-zero industrial storage freezer, and employees must be able to work in these conditions for extended periods. The noise level is frequently elevated, and employees may be exposed to cold, wet, and humid conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, balance, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and communicate by speaking and hearing. Ability to communicate effectively with employees, management, and peers is essential. Regular use of phones, computers, and email is required. Hearing and vision, correctable to normal ranges, are necessary for receiving information, communicating, and reviewing or preparing documents. Employees must be able to remain standing and/or walking approximately 85% of the workday while performing duties throughout the production facility and occasionally moving about office areas to access files, equipment, and other resources. Occasional computer work while seated is required. Employees must also be able to position themselves to inspect, operate, and maintain equipment, including reaching under tables, desks, or machinery when necessary. This position requires good manual dexterity to operate computers, tablets, mobile devices, calculators, copiers, scanners, and other office or production equipment. Employees must occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 75 pounds and perform repetitive movements as required by operational needs. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
