Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Mortgage Compliance Manager to oversee compliance and quality control activities within a residential mortgage lending operation. This newly created leadership role offers the opportunity to take ownership of the mortgage compliance function, strengthen processes and controls, and serve as a key resource across the organization. The ideal candidate brings broad mortgage compliance expertise, strong knowledge of secondary market requirements, and a desire to build and develop a growing function.

Remote What You Will Do:
- Oversee mortgage compliance activities to ensure adherence to applicable federal and state regulations, investor requirements, and internal policies
- Monitor regulatory and investor guideline changes and implement updates to policies, procedures, and processes
- Oversee HMDA reporting, fair lending support, and mortgage quality control processes
- Manage pre-funding and post-funding quality reviews, identify risk trends, and implement corrective actions
- Serve as a key resource for mortgage-related audits, regulatory examinations, and compliance matters
- Provide compliance and investor guidance and training to mortgage operations, underwriting, and sales teams
- Build and develop the mortgage compliance function, including processes, documentation, controls, and team members Additional Information

Opens a new window. What You Will Need to
Be Successful:
- 5-7+ years of residential mortgage lending experience with significant exposure to compliance, quality control, and/or secondary market activities
- Broad knowledge of mortgage lending regulations, including TILA/TRID, RESPA, HMDA, ECOA, Fair Lending, FCRA, Fair Housing, and related requirements
- Strong working knowledge of secondary mortgage markets, including Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac guidelines and investor eligibility requirements
- Experience with mortgage quality control, audit processes, risk identification, and corrective actions
- Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to coach, develop, and provide guidance to others
