Job Title:

Picker and Packer Job Description The 1st shift Warehouse Worker supports daily warehouse operations by performing picking, packing, repacking, and auditing of orders, as well as scanning barcodes, measuring and recording pallet dimensions and weights, and completing basic data entry tasks. This role operates in a clean, climate-controlled warehouse and contributes directly to accurate inventory management and efficient shipping processes. Responsibilities Pick and pack products according to order specifications with accuracy and attention to detail. Repack items and prepare pallets to meet shipping and inventory requirements. Audit orders to verify quantities, product types, and documentation before shipment. Use RF scanners to scan barcodes and update information in the warehouse management system. Measure and record dimensions and weights of pallets and ensure data is entered correctly. Perform general labor and material handling tasks, including moving, organizing, and staging inventory. Assist with unloading incoming shipments and preparing outgoing shipments as needed. Maintain inventory accuracy by following established procedures for counting and recording stock. Complete basic data entry related to orders, inventory, and shipping in the warehouse systems. Follow all safety guidelines and maintain a clean and orderly work area in the warehouse. Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to support smooth warehouse operations. Essential Skills 6 months to 1 year of warehouse experience in roles such as picking, packing, inventory, or general labor. 6 months to 1 year of forklift experience in a warehouse setting. Experience working in a warehouse environment with material handling responsibilities. Ability to use RF scanners to scan barcodes and update information in warehouse systems. Basic data entry skills with the ability to accurately record pallet dimensions, weights, and order details. Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, moving, and organizing materials and products. Attention to detail and accuracy when picking, packing, auditing orders, and recording information. Ability to follow established processes and safety procedures in a warehouse environment. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with shipping and unloading activities in a warehouse setting. Comfort working in a climate-controlled warehouse environment. Ability to work effectively on 1st shift with very limited overtime requirements. Willingness to work in a temp-to-hire arrangement with potential for long-term employment. Strong reliability and consistency in attendance and performance. Ability to work in a laid-back yet professional environment while maintaining productivity. Why Work Here? Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
