Hours:
11am-7pm Mondays, Tue-Friday 12pm-8pm Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately selecting, packing, and preparing products for shipment, ensuring that orders are fulfilled efficiently and correctly. The ideal candidate will possess strong manual handling skills, familiarity with warehouse management systems, and experience operating various types of heavy equipment. Duties Efficiently pick items from inventory using order picker equipment, RF scanners, and barcode scanning technology to ensure accurate order fulfillment. Operate warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery safely in accordance with safety protocols. Pack products securely using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit while maintaining quality standards. Load and unload shipments utilizing heavy equipment and manual handling techniques while adhering to safety guidelines. Maintain accurate inventory records within warehouse management systems (WMS), including stock levels, location updates, and cycle counts. Assist in shipping and receiving processes by verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation. Conduct quality control checks to ensure orders are accurate and complete before dispatch. Follow safety procedures consistently, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), to promote a safe working environment. Support warehouse distribution activities by stocking shelves, organizing inventory, and managing order fulfillment tasks efficiently. Collaborate with warehouse supervisors and team members to optimize workflow and improve overall operational efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or a similar logistics role; prior warehouse experience is highly preferred. Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory management systems. Proficiency in operating heavy equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts, cherry pickers, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment. Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting safely. Basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying quantities accurately. Knowledge of safety protocols related to warehouse operations and heavy equipment operation. Strong attention to detail for order picking, packing accuracy, and inventory management. Effective communication skills to work collaboratively within a team environment. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced distribution setting. This role is integral to maintaining efficient warehouse operations while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality. Pay:
$18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
