Position Overview The Production Mixer is responsible for the addition and blending of raw materials based on the daily production schedule. This position works 10 hours per day, 4 days per week (Monday through Thursday) with overtime as needed. The role operates in a dry and dusty production environment with physical surroundings including fillers, tables, metal detectors, mixers, forklifts, conveyors, and auto-fillers. The Production Mixer reports to the Production Supervisor and plays a critical role in ensuring quality products that meet all Safety, SQF, and Customer regulations. Key Responsibilities Produce quality products meeting all Safety, SQF, and Customer regulations Coach, counsel, train, and develop associate skills Establish efficient production processes for all company product lines Review production schedules with line associates prior to shift start and communicate any changes in product, line changes, or material availability Complete shift huddles and communication with other department Supervisors and associates Assure all formulas, labels, tools, and equipment are ready prior to production start Inspect production lines regularly to ensure Good Manufacturing Practices are followed Maintain clean production areas free of waste, debris, and liquids to avoid safety hazards Ensure accurate documentation of materials and counts at shift end Complete all required information tracking and data collection Maintain effective communications between Manager and shift supervisors, identifying significant issues related to quality, safety, downtime, or production problems [2] Required Qualifications and Skills We are seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Skills Good reading, writing, and math skills; safety conscious mindset; ability to lift up to 60 lbs; self-directed with ability to work without close supervision Certifications Certified forklift driver Experience Knowledgeable of SQF and OSHA regulations; demonstrated ability to motivate and train employees Work Requirements Willing and able to work overtime as needed; hardworking, dependable, and safety conscious; willingness to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Preferred Bilingual English/Spanish Physical Requirements This position requires 70% standing and 30% walking throughout the workday. Physical activities include frequent bending/twisting at waist (30-70% of time), climbing stairs/ladders (30-70%), and working on elevated surfaces (30-70%). The role involves lifting 26-50 lbs frequently (30-70% of time) and 51+ lbs occasionally (10-30% of time). Reaching below shoulders occurs frequently (30-70%), and repetitive arm/hand motion with power grasp is required frequently (30-70%). Communication requirements include frequent reading and writing (30-70% of time) and constant hearing and seeing (70% of time). Equipment operated includes ribbon blender, blending in a tote, safety knife, auto-filler, conveyor, and metal detector [2]. Compensation Philosophy Pay starts at $19 per hour plus depending on experience . The pay range represents a general guideline; however, Mantrose Group considers several factors when determining base salary that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience, skill set, certifications, specific work location, and current market conditions . Life and Disability Insurance Basic life insurance at 2X total compensation (max $300,000); short-term disability at 60% pay after 6 months, increasing to 100% pay after 1 year; long-term disability at approximately 60% of annual benefits base (max $10,000/month) [4]. 401(k) Savings Plan Available after three months of employment with employer matching; Pension Plan Associates are vested in the RPM Pension plan after completing five years of service.
