Responsible for receiving all incoming supplies and ingredients and processing all associated paperwork. Verify count by variety and record on shipping documents. Remove damaged or expired product and set aside for supervision to check. Pull customer orders and stage product in shipping area. Rotate freezer stock on first in, first out basis. I. Attend bid job regularly and on time with a four or more day work schedule including weekends. Shifts are for 10.5 hours or more. A.M. start times between 4:30 a.m. and 6:30 a.m. P.M. start times between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Overtime work bid in order of seniority. II. 1. Capable of exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects such as skids and product. 2. Mental and visual ability to identify various products, codes, labels and stickers and read sales orders and shipping documents. Must be able to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide. Performs routine tasks following instructions. 3. Capable of moving up and down building stairways in a two level plant to reach job assignments and perform tasks required in shipping process including operating high lift. Tasks require stooping, reaching, standing, crouching, bending, twisting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, and hearing. 4. Capable of understanding multiple instructions, maintaining production and shipping documents, and reading notices and work schedules as posted on the bulletin board. 5. Employee subject to work inside and outside and temperature changes, performing work at below zero in holding freezer for one hour or more at a time. 6. Must be certified forklift operator. III. 1. Working from Bill of Landing, load customer's trucks, complete appropriate documentation and handheld transactions for shipping product, and utilize scheduling software. 2. Select cases, rewrap, stage, and store product and prepare paperwork for shipping. 3. On a daily basis, inspect and rotate freezer stock. 4. Responsible for forklift operation and inspection, including tires, battery and/or anything pertaining to the safe operation of the fork lift. Prepare maintenance work orders as needed. Must ensure that forklifts are rotated and batteries are charged. 5. Move bakery goods being produced from holding rack to storage freezer. 6. Relieve shipping room personnel for lunches, breaks, or absences as assigned. 7. Perform physical inventory of raw materials, finished products, test products and expiration dates on a daily or weekly basis as assigned, and utilize handhelds for completing transactions 8. Transfer frozen raw materials such as eggs from main freezer to staging area. 9. Receive incoming ingredients and supplies. Complete all associated paperwork and electronic logs. 10. Make sure ingredients are rotated properly ( first in, first out). IV. 1. Sweep out storage freezer and staging area freezer as time permits. 2. Keep equipment and work area clean at all times. 3. Keep ingredients room organized. 4. Maintain and organize bail trailer. V. 1. Preparation and Training Work requires the ability to read, write and speak English and to perform basic arithmetic calculations. Must complete forklift operator certification course. 2. Analysis is necessary to determine and make adjustments when needed in order to maintain quality control. 4. Independent Judgment And Consequences Of Errors Some independent judgment required beyond the general or semi-detailed instructions. Contact With Others Contact with people outside the Company such as truck drivers and frequent contact with employees in immediate work area.
