Blade Packager *** This is a temporary to permanent position***

Overview:

The Blade Packaging position is responsible for the proper packaging, documentation and preparation of doctoring blades for customer delivery. This role requires strong attention to detail and dedication to on time delivery. Must be able to work quickly while maintaining safe work habits Exemplary Duties/Responsibilities Ensure proper packaging instructions are followed for safe transport of customer products Coil and package metal and synthetic doctoring blades into appropriate box or packaging for customer shipments in accordance with shipping instructions. When instructions are not available, get direction from the Internal Sales representative. Complete work orders as needed to realize inventory Complete the appropriate shipping documents for product transport per the work order. Insure proper level of shipping supplies are maintained. Re‐order through proper channels if necessary. Maintain 100% shipping accuracy. Actively seeks and helps implement improvements to area and processes Comply with all company safety policies, procedures and practices. Fully responsible for the quality of their work. Must be a team player and participate in efforts to achieve department and company goals. Work overtime as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Crate/Fabricate Carpentry skills

Responsibilities:

Knowledge:

Understanding of shipping and basic inventory control procedures

Skill:

Ability to assess job requirements, understand priorities and work quickly while maintaining safe work habits. Excellent organization skills and exemplary attention to detail.

Physical/Environmental Demands:

Lifting requirements and coiling can be on a repetitive basis. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Requires mental and visual awareness. Long periods of standing for work related tasks. Safety shoes, glasses and protective gloves necessary.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High School education. Two years of manufacturing experience or inventory control experience. Who is Kadant Solutions Division?
