Job Description
POSITION DUTIES GRADER/LINE CHECKER
Check quality of product approximately every half hour Make sure adjustments are made especially for mixes, according to specifications Check temperatures Check 10 bags approximately every half hour for correct: Weights Codes Seals Check cases for correct Codes UPC Items and numbers Expiration dates Check for correct product type Check stacking patterns and for slip sheets when necessary Check the metal detectors at start up, at 30 minute intervals (approximately) and at the end of production. Also after any maintenance work has been done on the line. Place product on hold if necessary Lead grader does inspection of processing area prior to start-up Do product flavor testing. Collect customer samples.TICKET WRITER
Make certain correct product is brought out of the cold storage Maintains all paperwork on totes being brought out and used and on totes not used. Checks to make sure correct item numbers are being used: Slip sheets Day codes Expiration dates Checks stacking patterns Checks condition of the pallets Maintains all tracking paperwork for finished productPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF JOB POSITION
This job position requires the following minimum physical abilities to adequately perform the above activities.STANDING
- The employee needs to be able to stand for 4 (out of 8) hours per work shift, walk for 4 hours and sit for 4 hours. PACE
- The pace of this job is considered routine. LIFTING
- Lifting from the waist level is required.
TWISTING
- This position does not require twisting.
PUSH/PULL
- Push/pull activities may occur 1-2 times per shift.
HAND/WRIST
- Involves fine hand and wrist movements for 4 hours per shift and pinching/gripping for 2 hours per shift. There is no repetitive wrist twisting or bending. ELBOWS
- Elbow use is not necessary.
SHOULDERS
- Work required above shoulder level is at a maximum of 2 hours per shift. No forceful shoulder pushing/pulling is required. KNEES
- Some squatting is required up to 5 times per day.
CLIMBING
- Climbing is required for 2 hours per shift up to a level of 3 steps above floor level. WALKING is expected to be one mile per day. VISION
- 20/40 or better required with or without correction.
COLOR VISION
- Good color vision is necessary. HEARING
- Must be able to hear better than 40 Db threshold level in at least one ear.
