Finisher Operator

• Job Description
• The finisher operator supports the finishing department by performing packaging, kitting, labeling, and basic production tasks in a cleanroom environment.

This role focuses on preparing rolls of barcode stickers and related materials for shipment, operating equipment to print barcodes on labels, and ensuring products meet quality and quota expectations. You will work on highly repetitive tasks while being cross-trained across different areas of the finishing department to build versatility and skills.

• Responsibilities
• + Perform basic packaging, kitting, boxing, and labeling of products in the finishing department.

+ Operate machines to print barcodes on labels and ensure correct information is applied to each product. + Prepare rolls of barcode stickers and related materials for shipment to customers. + Carry out shrink wrapping and other basic production labor tasks as needed. + Work in a cleanroom environment while wearing required hairnets, gowns, and other protective attire. + Maintain strong attention to detail and perform quality assurance checks on finished products. + Meet or exceed daily packaging quotas for rolls completed, progressing from training expectations to regular performance levels. + Assist with shipping duties, including organizing, packing, and preparing orders for dispatch. + Follow standard operating procedures and safety guidelines while handling materials and operating equipment. + Collaborate with team members and cross-train in different areas within the finishing department to support overall production needs. + Lift and move materials, including boxes and rolls, using proper lifting techniques and hoist assistance when needed. + Contribute to continuous improvement by following lean manufacturing practices and supporting efficiency initiatives.

• Essential Skills
• + At least 1+ year of experience in assembly, packaging, or a similar production environment.

+ Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality assurance and accuracy. + Ability to perform repetitive tasks consistently and maintain productivity over the course of a shift. + Mechanically inclined and comfortable operating basic production and labeling equipment. + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, with hoist assistance available when needed. + Experience with assembly, kitting, labeling, finishing, packaging, and packing tasks. + Reliable attendance and ability to follow established procedures for reporting absences. + Comfort working in a cleanroom environment while following gowning and cleanliness requirements.

• Work Environment
• This role is based in a clean, well-maintained printing and production facility with a smaller-company feel where employees are treated with care and respect.

You will work in a cleanroom environment that requires wearing a hairnet, gown, and other protective attire while performing finishing and packaging tasks. The broader facility promotes a casual dress code outside of cleanroom requirements, including T-shirts or sweaters, long pants, and closed-toe shoes. The company provides branded water bottles and T-shirts and encourages employees to share ideas to support lean manufacturing initiatives, including recognition and drawings for meaningful suggestions. The workspace has recently been upgraded with more natural light and an open floor concept to create a bright and comfortable setting. Standard hours are 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Friday, with overtime currently starting at 4:00 a.m. when needed. The role involves working with packaging equipment, labeling machines, and hoists to assist with lifting, and you will follow established attendance procedures, including calling a dedicated line and providing required information when reporting absences.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roseville, MN.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your jobclassification and length of employment.
