Job Description

WAREHOUSE PICKER AND PACKER
Ghost Galaxy is a publisher of board games and card games based in Mounds View, MN. Ghost Galaxy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Strange Stars Entertainment. We seek a detail-oriented person to join our warehouse team as a Picker and Packer. In this role, you will review customer orders, locate specific products in the warehouse, inspect products for damages, and pack and sort shipments securely and accurately. Your work ensures that our customers promptly receive the correct products in perfect condition.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Order picking: Efficiently and accurately locate the products specified in each order, in the correct quantities.
Quality control:
Inspecting each product for damages or defects before packing.
Inventory tracking:
Ensure each item in the order is properly scanned before packing, and set aside any damaged or defective products so they can be removed from inventory by management.
Packing:
Choosing the right size box or envelope for the order, adding suitable protective materials, and securely sealing each package with tape.
Labeling:
Print and attach the correct shipping label to each package.
Sorting:
Accurately placing each package in the right place according to the shipping carrier such as FedEx, UPS, or USPS.
Safety and organization:
Keep work areas clean and organized, warehouse aisles free from obstructions, and restock picking areas as needed.
Communication:
Promptly inform team members about potential problems, low supply levels, or safety issues. Coordinate with customer service team about any orders that cannot be completely fulfilled. Other duties many be assigned by management.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
This is an entry-level position, but previous warehouse experience is a plus. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time and frequency lift and cary objects up to 30 pounds. High attention to detail to ensure the correct items are packed and shipped to the right customers. Comfortable using basic computer systems, handheld barcode scanners, and simple tools such as utility knives and tape guns. Effective time management, strong send of teamwork, and a positive attitude. This position requires a background check.
Pay:
From $17.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
