JOB SUMMARY

Weigh boxes of product to designated specifications. Complete necessary paperwork or computer entry and perform temperature and metal detector checks.

JOB DUTIES

Set up and operate scale and tape machine. Arrange packing room for the product being run. Perform frozen temperature and metal detector checks. Advise packers of product type and how product is to be packed. Weigh all boxes to meet minimum weight and counts. Check scale for proper tare. Ensure proper label, stamp and date code are on boxes. Keep work area clean. May be required to bend, lift and twist frequently throughout the work shift. Perform other duties as assigned.

WORKING CONDITIONS

High noise, varied temperatures (warm to cold), slippery floors, moving equipment and dust may be present. Wear appropriate PPE and other equipment as necessary or required.

QUALIFICATIONS

Display positive attitude and teamwork skills. Must be able to stand and walk up to 8 hours per day. Ability to frequently bend, lift and twist. Must pass the company physical classification test for essential functions of the position.
