Job Title:

Picker and Packer 4 x 9's Monday - Thursday, 7 am - 4:30 and half day Friday 7-11. Job Description The picker and packer accurately pulls, packs, and stages parts and materials to support machine shop, assembly, and customer orders. This role ensures inventory is received, stored, and issued according to established procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment. Will obtain Mark Andy certification for: Forklift, Raymond order picker, counterbalance forklift, right angle picker, power pallet jack and overhead crane. Responsibilities Pull parts for the machine shop and work orders using detailed pick lists, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Pick, pack, and stage work orders for the assembly operation so that production runs smoothly and on schedule. Receive parts from outside vendors in accordance with ISO and departmental procedures, verifying documentation and condition of goods. Operate and maintain automated carousel and vertical parts storage systems to store and retrieve inventory efficiently. Protect parts as required and deliver them to the appropriate next work center without damage or loss. Stock in-house manufactured parts and vendor-received parts, verifying quantities, checking for shortages, and completing all required procedures and documentation. Process material return and request forms and IRAD replacement requests as needed, ensuring accurate records and inventory adjustments. Pull parts for customer orders and deliver them to the shipping and receiving department for timely order fulfillment. Perform cycle counts as required to maintain accurate inventory records and support inventory control processes. Maintain the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition, following housekeeping and organizational standards. Demonstrate regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the position. Move about the facility as needed, including sitting, standing, bending, reaching, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling to perform daily tasks. Lift and carry materials frequently, up to 50 pounds, while following safe lifting practices. Essential Skills Experience with packing and packaging processes in a warehouse or distribution environment. Ability to accurately pick parts and materials using pick lists and related documentation. Experience working with inventory, including stocking, counting, and verifying quantities. Ability to use RF scanners or similar handheld devices for inventory and order processing. High attention to detail to ensure correct parts, quantities, and documentation. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues in production, assembly, and shipping. Good communication skills to coordinate with other departments and follow written and verbal instructions. Ability to regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl as required by the role. Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds safely and repeatedly.
