Job Description

The Opportunity:
As a Feeder Packer, you will support machine operators by feeding cartons, inspecting product quality, and assisting with basic machine operation. You will help ensure smooth workflow, safe production practices, and consistent product quality. This role provides hands‑on experience in machine support, packing, material handling, and preventative maintenance within a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock Ensure all safety procedures are followed at all times. Hold employees accountable for working safely and identifying/removing hazards. Immediately report all near misses, incidents, first‑aid cases, and unsafe conditions to the Plant Manager and Safety Manager. Model safe behavior in all assigned areas. Maintain compliance with OSHA and plant safety standards. Protect the safety and well‑being of yourself and your team. Verify job information before running production. Inspect product for printing and cutting quality. Feed cartons into the machine. Restart the machine as needed. Maintain basic machine functions, including knowledge of the Leary System. Perform basic palletizing and packing for all job types. Assist operators with packing station setup, including tape machines and inkjet printers. Assist operators with make‑ready tasks. Help locate corrugated cases when needed. Perform rework duties as assigned. Ensure product safety and quality; report any concerns to Senior Management or the Quality Manager. What You Need to Succeed Strong commitment to safety and quality. Ability to follow instructions and support machine operators effectively. Attention to detail when inspecting product and completing tasks. Willingness to assist in production, housekeeping, and basic maintenance.
